Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 3, 2026

This policy describes what information aicheckr.io ("AI Checker," "we," "us") collects when you use the site and its tools (the "Service"), what we do with it, and the choices you have. It works together with our Terms of Service.

1. What we collect

  • Account data. Sign-in is through Google, handled by Supabase (our authentication and database provider). We receive your email address and basic Google profile details, and we store your plan, credit balance, and usage counters against your account.
  • Text you submit. The content you paste into the checker, humanizer, citation verification, hallucination detector, or other tools — handled as described in Section 2.
  • Billing data. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us; we hold references such as your Stripe customer ID, plan, billing status, and invoice history.
  • Usage and device data. Product analytics events (pages viewed, tools run, plan interactions), plus standard technical data like IP address and browser type, collected via PostHog and Vercel Analytics.
  • Messages you send us. Contact-form and refund-request submissions, delivered to our team inbox via Resend.
  • Cookies and local storage. Used for keeping you signed in, remembering preferences (such as dismissed banners), and analytics.

2. What happens to the text you check

We do not save the text you submit into our database. When you run a tool, your text is processed in memory and sent to the third-party AI model providers that power our analysis, solely to generate your result; the result is returned to your browser and the submitted text is not retained by us afterwards. What we do record is account-level metadata — for example, that a credit was used and which tool was run.

Two honest caveats: short-lived server logs that we use for debugging and abuse prevention can transiently contain fragments of processed text, and the AI providers that process requests on our behalf handle data under their own contractual commitments to us. We never sell your text, publish it, or use it to build public datasets.

3. How we use information

  • running the tools you invoke and returning results;
  • operating your account: credits, plan entitlements, sign-in;
  • charging subscriptions and handling cancellations and refunds;
  • sending transactional and lifecycle email (receipts, welcome and account messages, replies to your requests) via Resend;
  • measuring and improving the product through analytics;
  • preventing fraud and abuse and enforcing our Terms.

4. Who processes data for us

We share data only with the vendors that make the Service work, each bound by contract:

  • Supabase — authentication and our application database;
  • AI model providers — process submitted text to produce tool results;
  • Stripe — subscription payments and refunds;
  • Resend — transactional and lifecycle email delivery;
  • PostHog and Vercel — product analytics and hosting.

Beyond that, we disclose information only if the law requires it, to enforce our Terms, to protect users or the public, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data).

5. How long we keep things

Account records live for as long as your account does, plus whatever the law obliges us to keep (for example, billing records). Submitted text is not stored beyond the processing needed to return your result, as described in Section 2. Analytics data is retained under the retention settings of our analytics providers.

6. Deleting your account, and your rights

You can erase your account yourself: go to Account → Settings → Delete Account. That removes your profile, usage history, session records and email log, and then deletes your sign-in identity — permanently.

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws), you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain uses. Email [email protected] to exercise them. We do not sell personal information.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted transport, scoped credentials, and access controls — to protect your data. No online service can promise perfect security, but we design so that the most sensitive data (your card details, your submitted text) is held by us as little as possible or not at all.

8. International processing

Our providers operate infrastructure in several countries, so your data may be processed outside your own. Where transfer rules apply, we rely on our providers' recognized safeguards for those transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not aimed at children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top and give extra notice for significant changes. Using the Service after an update means the new version applies.
